Terms of use

The rules for using Eveo

They apply to anyone searching for suppliers, requesting quotes and — optionally — creating an account to follow them. For organisers Eveo is free: no subscription, no commission, and you will never be asked to pay to contact someone.

Version 1 · in force since August 28, 2026

This text is awaiting review by a lawyer

It was written by the people who build Eveo, not by a lawyer. As far as we know it is complete and consistent with the obligations that apply — the EU regulation on online intermediation services, the Digital Services Act, the GDPR — but no lawyer has read it yet. While this note is here, take it for what it is: a serious draft awaiting professional review, not legal advice.

Text in square brackets is information the client has not provided yet: it must be replaced before the commercial launch.

Who we are, and what these terms are

Eveo is a curated directory of event suppliers and a search engine over that directory, operated by [legal entity name], registered office at [street and number], [postcode] [city], Italy, VAT number [number] — hereinafter “Eveo” or “we”. The service is available at [domain].

These terms govern the use of the site by anyone who visits it, searches for suppliers, sends quote requests or creates an account to follow them — hereinafter “you”. If you are a business wanting to publish a profile, the document that concerns you is a different one: the terms for suppliers.

You do not need an account to use Eveo. Search, profiles, map, cost estimator and quote requests all work without registering, and this is a product decision we will not change: the account is offered only after the first request is sent, it exists to help you find your things again, and it is optional.

You accept these terms by creating the account. If you do not have an account they still apply as conditions for using the site, for the part that concerns the use you make of it.

Every version of this document has a number and a date on which it takes effect, printed at the top of this page. Changes follow article 14.

For organisers Eveo is free. There is no subscription, no commission on the requests you send, and none of the features described here costs you anything.

What Eveo does, and what it does not do

Eveo helps you find suppliers and get in touch with them. Any contract you go on to conclude is between you and the supplier, and Eveo is not part of it. Five limits follow, and it is better to know them beforehand. Eveo:

  • does not sell event services, does not organise them and does not resell them;
  • is not a party to the contract between you and the supplier, and is not liable for the quality of the service, the prices, the dates, the deposits or any breach;
  • does not set suppliers' prices and does not know them: nobody declares them on the platform;
  • does not guarantee that a supplier will answer, that they will be available on your date, or that the quote you receive will be the one you expect;
  • does not certify suppliers: the reading described in article 3 is a plausibility and compliance check, not an attestation of quality or reliability.

Before signing anything or paying a deposit, check directly with the supplier the things that matter — VAT number, terms, insurance, dates — exactly as you would if you had found them anywhere else.

The profiles: who writes them, and what we check

There are two kinds of profile on the site, and the difference is stated on the page. Those filled in by the supplier, who has an active subscription, receives the requests and answers them. And those we compiled from publicly accessible information, so as not to publish an empty list: they say so above their content, have no contact form — because a business that does not know it is here cannot receive requests nobody will read — and show contact details as text.

There is also the case of a profile whose subscription has expired: it stays readable and indexed, but does not receive quote requests. Whenever a request is not possible, the page points you to suppliers in the same category and region who do answer.

A profile becomes public only after a person at Eveo has read it, and every change to texts and images is re-read before going live. It is a check on plausibility and on compliance with the rules, not a verification of every single fact declared: if you find an error, article 10 says how to report it, and we are glad when you do.

The quote request

When you send a request from a supplier's profile, the data you wrote goes to that supplier so they can answer you, and a copy reaches you by email. The request is not an order, not a contract, and does not commit you to anything: it is a contact.

We ask for the minimum a supplier needs in order to answer properly — name, email, event type, date or period, number of guests and message — because a request without a date and without a number of guests is not a request anyone can answer, and it is the main reason suppliers do not reply. Phone number and budget range are optional.

Two requests sent from the same email address to the same supplier within twenty-four hours are the same request: we merge them instead of duplicating them.

We cannot guarantee that a supplier will answer. What we do is: remind them after forty-eight hours if they have not opened the request; tell you once, after seven days, if it is still sitting there, pointing you to similar suppliers; and treat it as expired after thirty days without an answer, which counts against the supplier's response rate, and that rate is public.

The form is protected by anti-abuse measures. Do not use it to send advertising, irrelevant messages or requests that do not relate to a real event: false or bulk requests waste a real business's time and are a ground for restriction under article 11.

The organiser account

The account is optional and is never asked for before a quote request: it is offered after the first request is sent, with the email address you have already typed. It exists to follow the answers, find the suppliers you set aside, reuse your event details, keep lists and receive reminders about deadlines.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for what happens through them. The information you enter must be true: a made-up event produces pointless requests to real businesses.

You can link to your account the requests you sent before creating it, by proving that you control the email address you used or by arriving from the same session in which you sent them. Linking changes how long we keep that request, and we tell you so at the exact moment you do it, because that is when you are deciding.

You can delete your account whenever you want. The requests you had linked do not disappear: they become anonymous again, that is, they lose your identifying data, and the supplier keeps only the counts — how many they received, how many they answered, how quickly — which are their data, not yours. A conversation still open is interrupted: the supplier loses your contact details. There is no “unlink” today: the only way back to the anonymous state is deleting the account.

Lists you share with a link are readable by anyone holding that link, without an account: do not put notes in them that you do not want read.

How results are ranked

This article says what the main parameters are that determine the order in which suppliers appear to you, and their relative importance. It is a legal obligation towards people who search, and it is also the best way not to waste your time.

First a filter: only suppliers matching the category, the subcategories, the region and the filters you chose get through. No payment makes a supplier appear in a search they do not match. Then a ranking by relevance, which combines three criteria and fuses them into a single ranking:

  • the match between the words you searched for and the text of the profile, with rare words weighing more than common ones;
  • the closeness in meaning between what you searched for and how the supplier describes themselves: it is what brings up a florist for someone searching “floral arrangements” even when those words are not on the profile;
  • the match between the words searched for and the supplier's name.

At equal relevance, suppliers with an active subscription come first. We tell you because you deserve to know: it is the only point where what a supplier pays influences the order in which you see them, and it steps in only between profiles that the search has already judged equivalent. No payment makes a supplier more relevant than they are.

At the bottom, again at equal relevance, come the profiles we compiled ourselves and the expired ones: nobody is monitoring them to answer.

If you choose a sort order yourself — by name or by date — the subscription does not count at all: you get exactly the order you asked for.

The featured photographs on the home page are not a search result: they are advertising slots that were bought, marked as such, and they do not change the order of searches.

Why there are no reviews on Eveo

There are no reviews and no ratings on Eveo, we do not import any from other sites and we do not display them in any form. Profiles carry no stars, and the structured data we publish for search engines declares none: a rating that cannot be verified is dishonest towards the person searching and unfair to the good suppliers.

In their place you find checkable facts — the category attributes, the certifications declared — and two measures of the supplier's behaviour, which are not an opinion but the record of what they did: the response rate and the median response time, computed over a rolling window of ninety days. The line “usually replies within…” appears only if the supplier received at least five requests in that period: below that threshold a number would not be data.

If reviews ever arrive, they will be tied to a request that really went through Eveo, the supplier will have a right of reply, they will be moderated under stated rules, and none will be removed in exchange for payment. This article will say so before it happens.

The cost estimator

The estimator gives an indicative estimate of the cost of an event based on type, number of guests, place, duration and the categories chosen. It is not a quote, it binds nobody, and it contains no supplier's prices: Eveo does not know them, because nobody declares them on the platform.

What you see are ranges, declared as such. Every line says where the number comes from and when it was last updated. Use them to understand the order of magnitude and to know which questions to ask; the real number comes from the supplier, after you have told them about your event.

What you may not do on the site

The site is open and asks for no account: the trade-off is a short list of things that are not done. It is not permitted to:

  • automatically collect the site's content, contact details or images, in whole or in substantial part;
  • reproduce, resell or republish the directory or substantial parts of it;
  • use suppliers' contact details for unsolicited marketing;
  • send quote requests that are false, in bulk, or unrelated to a real event;
  • circumvent the anti-abuse measures, attempt to access restricted areas or other people's data, or interfere with the operation of the service;
  • upload or transmit unlawful, offensive or discriminatory content, or content infringing third-party rights;
  • use Eveo's name, trade mark or design so as to suggest a relationship or an endorsement that does not exist.

What you may do, without asking anyone: use the site for your own personal or professional search, save and print the pages you need, and share links to profiles and lists.

Reporting content

At the bottom of every public profile there is a link to report a problem. Anyone can use it, without an account. The available reasons are: wrong or outdated information, business no longer trading, a profile impersonating another business, photos or texts that are not theirs, offensive content, spam or fraud.

We ask for a note explaining the problem and, optionally, your email address — which is only needed if you want to know how it ended. Every report is recorded with its date, you receive an acknowledgement, and if you left an email address we tell you the outcome: upheld or dismissed, without the details of the measures taken, which concern the supplier.

An upheld report does not always produce the same effect: a detail is corrected, an image is removed, the supplier is asked to act, the profile goes back for review, or in serious cases it is suspended. The decision is always a person's.

Repeated and manifestly unfounded reports from the same origin may be ignored. It is the only way to keep a tool that is open to everyone standing up.

If we restrict your access

If you breach article 9 we may restrict or suspend your access to the service or to your account. It is an exceptional measure: the site is designed to be used without friction, and the vast majority of people using it will never meet this article.

If it happens, we tell you in writing which restriction we applied and for how long, the facts we rely on, whether and how automated means were used, the clause of these terms or the rule of law we rely on, and how to challenge the decision.

To challenge it, write to [legal email address to be defined]: we answer within fifteen working days. If you are right, the restriction is lifted. Your right to go to court is unaffected.

Intellectual property

The site's pages, software, design, trade marks, editorial texts and the summaries we generate belong to Eveo or to those who licensed them to us. Profile content belongs to the suppliers who uploaded it, or to Eveo for the directory entries we compiled ourselves.

You may use the site for your own research — consulting, saving, printing, sharing links. You may not reproduce the directory or substantial parts of it, nor reuse its content in a competing service.

Service availability and liability

Eveo undertakes to keep the service available and to fix faults within a reasonable time, but does not promise continuous availability: maintenance, failures at infrastructure providers and events beyond our control may interrupt the service.

Eveo is not liable for suppliers' services, for the information they publish, for the outcome of negotiations, or for damage arising from the contract you conclude with a supplier. The estimator's figures are indicative and bind nobody.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants to consumers, nor Eveo's liability in the cases where the law does not allow it to be excluded, including wilful misconduct and gross negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The new version is published on this page with at least fifteen days' notice before the date it takes effect, and if you have an account we also tell you by email.

If you do not accept the new version you can stop using the service and delete your account, at no cost and without having to explain yourself.

Changes have no effect on quote requests already sent, which remain governed by the version in force when you sent them.

Personal data and cookies

Eveo processes your personal data as a data controller. Which data, why, for how long and how to exercise your rights — access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability, complaint to the supervisory authority — is set out in the privacy notice, which can be read without an account and which is linked from every form before you type anything.

When you send a quote request, the data you wrote is passed to the supplier you chose so that they can answer you. From that moment the supplier is an independent controller for the use they make of it, and the terms for suppliers forbid them from using it for purposes other than the reply.

Cookies and similar technologies are described in the cookie policy. Non-essential ones are set only with your consent, refusing is as easy as accepting, and the choice can be changed at any time.

Governing law, disputes and contacts

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, the courts of the place where you reside or are domiciled remain competent, and no clause of this document can impose a different forum on you; in other cases the courts of [competent court city to be defined] have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer you may turn to an alternative dispute resolution body listed by the competent Italian authorities. Eveo has not committed in advance to any specific body, and is willing to consider a conciliation procedure in good faith where the dispute warrants it.

This document is drafted in Italian and translated into English: in case of discrepancy the Italian text prevails. If a clause is void, the others remain valid.

To write to us: support [support email address to be defined]; content reports, personal data requests and official communications [legal email address to be defined], certified email [certified email address to be defined]; postal address [legal entity name], [street and number], [postcode] [city], Italy. We answer in Italian and in English, and none of these channels is exclusively automated.
